Already have a virtual care appointment booked with us?

Which problems are suitable for virtual health visits?

REACH Medical Clinic has expanded its use of phone or virtual care to support physical distancing and minimise the number of people required to come to the clinic.  Patients have the option of phone or video, whichever they feel is most appropriate.

A virtual visit may be more suitable than a phone call if you have a problem you feel the provider needs to see, such as a rash; discussing this in a video consult may save you a trip to the clinic later. You may also prefer to see as well as hear your provider to improve communication.

Of course, not all virtual consults can completely replace in person care, and you may be asked to attend the clinic for a physical examination.

If you are not sure which type of appointment is right for you, talk to our MOAs when you book your appointment. What matters to us is delivering quality care in a way that is comfortable for you.

Interested in attending your next medical or counselling visit virtually?

  1. Contact our friendly front desk team to book your appointment.  Let them know you’d like to attend by video.

Remember to make a note of your appointment date and time as you will need to visit the clinic’s virtual waiting room at the correct time!

Call our medical office assistants on 604-216-3134.

  2. On the day of your appointment, find a quiet, well-lit place in which you can speak freely.
The best virtual visits are ones where you and your provider can see and hear each other clearly, and where you’re not concerned about private information being overheard by others.

  3. Open up your computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone and head over to our virtual waiting rooms:

We recommend you do this 10 minutes before your appointment, at least on the first visit, so you have time to work through any technical difficulties.

  4. Choose the provider you have an appointment with, identify yourself, and then just relax until your provider joins you by video-chat.

When you sign in, we recommend you use a name that your provider will recognise, to ensure that they know who is waiting.

If you do have technical difficulties and are not able to join the virtual waiting room at the correct time, your provider will attempt to contact you by phone for your appointment.
