Celebrating 55 Years of Community Health

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

The partnership between activist residents of Grandview- Woodlands and the UBC Department of Pediatrics, led by visionary pediatrician Dr. Roger Tonkin, laid the foundation for REACH (Research, Education, and Action for Community Health). Originally located at 1144 Commercial Drive, this site is now home to the Portuguese Club of Vancouver. Many things have changed in the community in the past five decades, however one thing it has not changed is our commitment to providing quality care and connecting with the community!
